CAVE Association – Loire Valley Vineyard near Orléans

On the banks of the Loire, vines have shaped the landscape of Chécy for centuries. Grown on stony soils that yield fresh, light wines, the vineyard has long been part of the identity of this Loire Valley village.

Founded in 1997, the CAVE association – Chécy, les Amis de la VignE – is dedicated to preserving and reviving this viticultural heritage. Members tend the communal vineyard, cultivate rare and historic grape varieties, and share a passion for wine rooted in local history.

The association also organises the Chécy Wine Fair, a friendly annual event where visitors can meet winemakers, taste wines from the vineyard and beyond, and explore the rich wine culture of the Loire Valley.

Located in Chécy, in the Loiret département, just a few kilometres east of Orléans, the CAVE association welcomes anyone curious about wine tasting, vineyard visits, or the history of wine in the Loire Valley.

Every year, the association hosts the Chécy Wine Fair, a highlight of the local wine calendar. Wine tasting near Orléans, vineyard visits, Loire Valley winery — come and discover us.
